Merriam-Webster defines Survivor as
"to remain alive or in existence." We all
celebrated and honored our Survivors last weekend by
having 659 riders, 474 bikes and raising
$25,000 for the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast
Cancer and local breast health programs.
The weekend started on Friday night
with the comedy of the Home Grown Comedy Show and an
amazing Leather & Lace show with the beautiful models
and fashions from LiviRae Lingerie and North Georgia
Leathers.
Saturday we spent all day at
Harley-Davidson of Atlanta where we rolled the dice,
ogled nearly 100 beautiful machines in the bike show and
watched 23 gorgeous girls vie for the Ms.
Harley~Davidson of Atlanta crown.
Sunday we awoke to foggy surroundings
which burned off to a steamy heat and a HUGE crowd
coming together to ride for the common purpose of
battling breast cancer.
There are SO many people to thank,
including all of our wonderful sponsors, volunteers, and
all of YOU who came out to support us. Please continue
to watch the website for other events throughout the
year and updates on our 2009 events during which we will
be asking for your help in fundraising with a special
opportunity to attend a "Black & Chrome Ball" for our
VIPs and sponsors. Please email us with suggestions
and/or comments about your experiences at this year's
events.
As always, we couldn't do what we do
without YOU. We're there for the Survivors and the
families of those touched by breast cancer, joining
together with you in the battle.
Thank you again for making it all
possible! |
